At the beginning of this year, I decided to try writing a blog post every day. So far, I’ve managed to keep up with hit, but it’s been no easy task. For a post to happen every day, I’ve been spending much more time in the WordPress interface, both on my desktop computer, as well as my mobile phone. I’ve also ran into a number of tech issues, and general improvemments I’d like to make to my site. As I posted about yesterday, one of the big updates that will hopefully happen soon is switching to a Dynamic Grid CSS layout.
Anyway, this blog runs on the popular blogging platform WordPress. While extremely easy to use, the way WordPress puts together the blog you’re seeing now is no easy task. Yoast.com posted this interesting infographic about what’s going on behind the scenes in WordPress, and how the theme file gets built into the final webpage you see, every time you load the site.
